Your Future in Nursing and Midwifery

Online event series 2020

Your Future in Nursing and Midwifery 2020

Your Future in Nursing and Midwifery is a two-part online event which is designed to give nursing and midwifery students the insight and knowledge to thrive in the health industry after leaving uni.

Participating in the two key sessions, as well as accessing the additional online resources, gives you the opportunity to meet with potential employers, find out about available opportunities in the industry, network with like-minded healthcare providers and have your questions answered by those in the field.

See the line-up of activities and participating organisations below.

Event Series Schedule

This panel event is a chance to ask your burning questions about how to successfully transition from student to graduate. You’ll hear from recent graduates who were in your position not too long ago, more senior nursing and midwifery educators, as well as representatives from Local Area Health Districts and gain some valuable insights into how to thrive as a new graduate nurse or midwife.

This virtual expo is your chance to meet with a number of potential employers and discover what opportunities await you in the industry. Over 2 hours you may join multiple employer sessions designed to give you the inside knowledge on what working in each organisation is really like. Employers will be available to answer your questions over the 2 hour period, so you are welcome to stay and participate in one industry session or exit and enter another session to hear from that employer. To help you decide which employers you’d like to chat to and prepare questions before meeting them, be sure to read up on the participating organisations below.

Virtual Career Expo

Below are the organisations taking part in the Virtual Career Expo. Be sure to read up on each employer and learn more about their organisation and offerings before you attend. At the time of the event, the individual session links will be made available here to talk to each employer. Simply navigate back to this section and join the session under the employer you wish to chat to.
